ZANU PF Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu says the work being done by the Party’s Presidium is commendable and aimed at moving the Party forward.
The President and First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa is on record for challenging Party members to mobilize people. He has also preached unity, peace and development which are the Party’s pillars as the country moves towards achieving a middle income economy.
Speaking at the Party Headquarters this week, the Secretary for Administration noted the efforts being done by various Departments among them that of the First Lady Cde Auxillia Mnangagwa who is the Party’s Secretary for Environment and Tourism and that of the Vice President.
“The full time Party Affairs custody of the Honourable Vice President, Rtd Col Cde KCD Mohadi has galvanized our collective efforts to mobilize votes for His Excellency the President and First Secretary Cde Dr E.D Mnangagwa. This has been strategically enabled by the Vice President’s Provincial familiarization programmes that commenced in August 2021. Through this approach, our Vice President has managed to impart mobilisation synergies aimed at achieving our 5 Million Voter Target ahead of the 2023 elections using our traditional structures. Through this approach, the Party is also attracting a new constituency of voters,” Cde Mpofu said.
“Comrades, as you are aware our Party since 2000 has not managed to perform resoundingly in Binga. I am glad that our honourable Vice President has made successful inroads to that effect by meeting with the local chiefs of Binga. As a Party we are confident that these efforts will yield a much anticipated outcome in these by elections.
“The First Lady has also done us proud in her role as the Secretary for Environment and Tourism. Her Department also convened a very successful Strategic Workshop aimed at strengthening the Party’s grassroots presence through tourism policies.”
