PRESIDENT ED MNANGAGWA HEADED FOR LANDSLIDE VICTORY

It is now official. President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is all but certain of a landslide victory in forthcoming elections.
In the run-up to the harmonised elections, various organisations, both local and international have been silently conducting opinion polls to gauge voting intentions of Zimbabweans in all the 10 provinces.
So far, results show that President Mnangagwa’s grip on power has been solidified by his untiring efforts in developing the country.
Voters that were interviewed say Mnangagwa’s sound economic policies have breathed new life into the economy across all sectors.
However, the voters are blaming sanctions from western powers as an archilles heel to Zimbabwe’s economic growth.
The voters have also given President Mnangagwa a thumbs up for taking the country on an unprecedented infrastructural development path.
They cite examples such as the newly built Beit-bridge border post, roads, dams, rehabilitation of power stations, revamping of passenger train services, new parliament building, construction of what would become Africa’s largest steel company in Mvuma, bumper yields in farm produce such as maize and wheat among the many reasons why ED deserves a comfortable second term in office.
Above all, the voters have further credited President Mnangagwa for the political stability the country is currently enjoying.
Meanwhile, Zanu PF Patriots conducted a snap survery in streets of Harare which is viewed as traditionally an opposition bedrock.
Most of the people we talked to agree that President Mnangagwa is the right man to take the country towards the path of economic emancipation.
“Zimbabwe needs ED for five more years. He is working hard to fix the country economically, politically and socially. He can’t fix everything at once but I can say it without fear of contradiction that we are on the right path as a country,” explained Farai Moyo who is an actor and music producer.
On his part, a guy known as Pardon Magaisa added that ED has succeeded in taking the country out of international isolation.
Among the major gains that have been scored on the international scene by President Mnangagwa is the appointment of Chief Charumbira as President of Pan African Parliament.
