Preparations for the ZANU PF Primary Elections rerun are on course with a training workshop of the deployed teams being held ahead of the polls slated for the weekend.
Speaking during the ZANU PF Primary elections rerun training workshop in Harare, Cde Dzora who was representing the National Political Commissar Cde Mike Bimha said there is need to guard against the exploits of the erstwhile enemy who is determined to reverse the gains of the liberation struggle.
“We have chosen President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa is the sole candidate we have chosen to achieve vision 2030 and we don’t want this vision disturbed,” Cde Dzora said.
“Whilst we have always upheld our Constitution in terms of the elections, we have always held these under an environment which is not conducive as our erstwhile enemy has rode on the support of some of our people.
Cde Dzora told the participants to the workshop that they have been called to stamp out any form of corrupt which has been in the Party.
“This country was sacrificed for my the gallant sons and daughters of Zimbabwe and no pen will reverse the gains of this sacrifice. Do not be bought because you have been identified as upright people. Let’s be vigilant and stamp out the cancer that was now in the Party. There is noone bigger than the Party and we cannot have these few individuals give the opposition ammunition to rubbish the Party and the country.”
The elections reruns will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
The workshop was attended by at least 500 Forever Associates of Zimbabwe FAZ and Heritage officials.
