ZANU PF continues to showcase its excellence by coming out as the biggest prize winner out of 35 political parties in a written competition sponsored by the Communist Party of China.
Under the title “CPC in the eye of the international community”, 3000 worded articles were submitted by delegates from different countries invited to the Julius Mwalimu Nyerere School in Tanzania in May while other articles were submitted online.
Out of the over 200 articles submitted, ZANU PF won 25 prizes with the Head of Delegation Deputy Secretary for National Security and Politburo member Cde Tendai Chirau winning the second prize along with Director for External Relations in the Party Cde Gamuchirai Mangundu.
Two third prizes were also won by ZANU PF with the remaining number being in the category of Excellence.
Speaking after the Awards ceremony held virtually today, Cde Chirau noted that the relationship between ZANU PF and CPC are those of a shared future and common interests.
“What is key is that a delegation of ZANU PF members went to Tanzania to join other counterparts from other countries who included comrades from South Africa the ANC, Chama Chama Pinduzi, SWAPO, FRELIMO, MPLA,” Cde Chirau said .
“At that workshop apart from sharing notes and experiences, every participant was required to write an article about China in the eyes of the international community. More than 200 entries were submitted by all the members and all of our participants won the prizes out of the 200.”
Cde Chirau added that China and Zimbabwe share a very cordial relationship as they both work towards improving the lives of their populace.
“When we were faced with COVID-19 pandemic, it was China who came to our rescue this means we had a shared or common denominator in fighting the pandemic. China and Zimbabwe also have a shared vision in poverty alleviation which is one of their key priority putting people centred policies to eradicate poverty. We are doing the same here in Zimbabwe we talk about our intervention in agriculture where we talk about Command Agriculture and Pfubvudza so the same way that they are fighting poverty and also improving their agricultural mechanisms.”
The People’s Republic of China PRC has stopped at nothing to ensure that the Chinese model of development is adopted by different countries although the country insists that the characteristics must be home-grown.
