WAR VETERANS LEAGUE CRUCIAL FOR PARTY’S MOBILISATION PROCESS: CDE BIMHA

By Margaret Kamba

ZANU PF National Political Commissar Cde Mike Bimha says the coming in of the War Veterans League to the Party is crucial for the mobilisation drive ahead of the 2023 Harmonized Elections.

The Secretary for the Commissariat, who has been in charge with putting countrywide structures of the War Veterans League noted that the process went on smoothly thanks to the discipline exhibited by the war veterans.

Speaking during a press briefing today, Cde Bimha said the establishment of the War Veterans League will see them playing their part in mobilising people for next year’s elections.

“We are now witnessing history in the making as we are having the inaugural conference of the war veterans. The coming in of the War Veterans League is very critical to the Party because it really points to the fact that we will see the mobilisation of the Party really given an added impetus bearing in mind that war veterans have the experience in mobilisation,” Cde Bimha said.

“They are very much deep rooted in the history of the Party and very much understand where the Party is coming from and where it is going.

“Therefore for us as the Commissariat, we welcome the coming on board of this League because it makes our job easier as we join forces with the youths, women and obviously now with the war veterans in our work to mobilise moreso as we face the 2023 Harmonized General Elections.”

The war veterans are expected to put in place their National Executive during this conference.

The conference is being held under the theme “Force of the past, Power of the present, Inspiration of the future.”

We as the Commissariat Department have been able to establish structures at Party districts and Provinces

Underlines the historical significance of the conference.
