President Emmerson Mnangagwa may have just been in office for three years only. However, his list of deliverables eclipse the country’s achievements in last 20 years prior November, 2017.

The President is a star performer and is on top of his game, if what he has managed to deliver since 2017, when he took over office, is anything to go by.

In run up to 2018 polls, ED, as President Mnangagwa is fondly referred to, promised to construct 220 000 housing units and flats by 2025 as part of easing high demand for decent accommodation.

The latest to come out of President Mnangagwa’s 220 000 housing programme is that construct of 10 flat blocks each to contain 10 floors in Waterfalls, Harare will commence any moment.

Currently, government through the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities has requested for bidders interested to take part in the mega project to submit their bids.

President Mnangagwa has vowed to see to it that by 2025 a total of 220 000 houses and flats would have been delivered to the people of Zimbabwe.

This is contained in the National Human Settlements Policy the President launched few weeks ago.

President Mnangagwa has promised to make Zimbabwe a middle income economy by the year 2030.

All sundry issues aside, majority of Zimbabweans irrespective of tribal, religion, political or gender status do agree that President Mnangagwa’s government has managed to turn the tables around despite a rope of nocturnal sanctions hanging on its neck.
