ZFRPA wins a gong at the SAZ Awards

Zimbabwe Free Range Poultry Association was last week awarded the winner of 2023 Company Award for Standardization at the 2023 SAZ Awards held at the Celebration Centre on World Standards Day.
ZFRPA beat challenges from ZERA and Ministry of Lands, Agricultural Fisheries, Water and Rural Development who came joint second.
ZFRPA Association was given the Award on the basis of the work they are putting in development of new standards in Zimbabwe.
ZFRPA was awarded for the outstanding contribution to SAZ National Standardization Work as they worked with SAZ in the development and launch of the Good Agricultural Practise for Free Range Poultry Production Standard ZWS1051 of 2022.
Speaking at the Launch, SAZ Acting Director General Mr Mukoyi said the Standard was the first of its kind in the whole world that dealt specifically with Free range poultry which included roadrunner, ducks and guinea fowl.
ZFRPA is also working with SAZ in developing another Standard for Free Range Poultry feed and related goods.
Secretary General of ZFRPA, Ms Beauty Jiji who recieved the Award on behalf of the organization said this is a culmination of the great work they have put in as an Association since formation in 2015.
