ZANU PF CONGRATULATES WOMEN’S LEAGUE

ZANU PF Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu has congratulated the Party’s Secretary for Women’s League Cde Mabel Chinomona on her appointment to the Africa Parliamentary Union.

Speaking during the Policy and Coordination meeting this week, Cde Mpofu noted that such an appointment is key to decision making.

“We extend our congratulations to the Secretary for Women’s League Cde Mabel Chinomona for her appointment as the Senate President of the African Parliamentary Union (APU) at the APU headquarters in Ivory Coast,” Cde Mpofu said.

“This is no mean achievement as our cadres assume key Afro positions in decision making institutions.”

Cde Chinomona was elected Chairperson of the Executive Committee of African Parliamentary Union at the 44th Conference in November last year.

APU is an interparliametary organisation aimed at promoting unity in action amongst them peace, democracy, good governance and sustainable development.
