ZANU PF PARLIAMENTARY CAUCUS DEBATES ON DELIMITATION REPORT

ZANU PF Parliamentarians spent Monday afternoon at the Party Headquarters debating on the Delimitation report presented recently in Parliament.
The different men and women took turns to express their understanding of the report.
The parameters of the report have been clear and purely from a technical point of view and in fulfilment of their Constitutional mandate, ZEC did an exercise which has been met with a mixed bag of feelings among them the competence of the Commission among other things.
ZEC is an independent entity which has done its Constitutional mandate.
Speaking on behalf of the ZANU PF Secretary for Information, ZANU PF Secretary for Science and Technology Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi noted that the Caucus was aimed at gatherings the views of the Parliamentarians.
“It was a private Party conversation pursuant to the report that was tables in Parliament to say does it express the general feeling that honourable members have and what is our direction as a political Party,” Cde Ziyambi said.
“The Party’s position is that members come from different constituencies and there are set Constitutional requirements that have to be satisfied within the delimitation report. So members are free to go and interrogate what the committee presented, their own experiences in terms of the delimitation process and relate to the Constitutional requirements that are there and express their views in the debate in a manner that will ensure that everything will be captured and transmitted to His Excellency for onward transmission.”
