Mahwindi4ED paid a courtesy call to the War Veterans League in a moved at touching the nucleus of the country.
The organisation which boasts of 15 000 members and has a potential to grow is geared to attaining its full potential.
The meeting held at the ZANU PF Headquarters today, Secretary for War Veterans Cde Douglas K Mahiya urged Mahwindi4ED to give value and respect to their profession in order to amass the much needed in growing the economy.
“We are happy that you have come to the nucleus of the country the ruling Party ZANU PF. You have a huge role to play in growing the economy and ensuring our culture is instilled in your profession,” Cde Mahiya said.
“Establish yourselves as a progressive force by refusing lawlessness and disrespect for people. Give value and respect to your profession through your identity and total sanity.
“Your victimisation before was because noone could identify you. People should know that you support the Party and are unapologetic about it. We will continue giving you so that you organise your people abs be the voice of the people. If you are rejected we take you and bring out the value in you. Our President and First Secretary Cde E.D Mnangagwa is known for making things work and he is there to support you.
Cde Mahiya added that once the economy is stable, each person will be able to realise their full potential and contribute immensely to the growth of the economy.
He encouraged the group to take advantage of the opportunities to grow the economy.
Elisha Masango the Organisation’s Visionary Leader said there is so much willingness to work with the Party.
“When I began, I had been tormented by the demonstrations and asked myself if nothing could be done. I then engaged with mahwindi to see if they could not work with the Party and Government. They are willing and eager to do so as seen through the campaigns we held in Epworth and the recruitment across the country,” Masango said.
“We need financial support, promotional material among other things in order to reach our full potential.”
Cde Ellen Mwale the President said following the charge by Cde Mahiya, the organisation will go full throttle in ensuring that President E.D Mnangagwa goes into office during next year’s Harmonized Elections.
“We are ZANU PF and cannot go anywhere else. We are campaigning for President Mnangagwa to get into office. Following this meeting with Cde Mahiya we are going to go and teach mahwindi what we have been taught and we are confident that they will heed to the instructions.”
