Youth members from the Chama Chama Mapinduzi CCM and National Council for the Defense of Democracy-Forces for the Defence of Democracy NCDD-FDD jetted into the country today ahead of the ZANU PF Youth Conference scheduled for the 4th to 5th of May.

The elective conference will run under the theme Vision 2030:Revitalise, Empower, Involve the youth.

Speaking at the arrival Cde Kenani L. Kihongosi the Secretary General of the CCM said they are happy to participate at this conference.

“We are happy to be here to cement our cooperation between the two sister Parties. We expect to participate and share different ideas between our Parties,” Cde Kihongosi said.

He also added that the setting up of the Julius Nyerere memorial university should be able to “bring new ideas to the youth and help continue cooperation among those six countries. We have a duty to protect our resources just as the former liberators did.”

Cde Nzokira Landry of the NCDD-FDD In Charge of International Relations said this is an opportunity to cement relations between the two parties.

“It is an honour and privilege to be here especially as an African country. When you are invited as an African culture, your duty is to be present,” Cde Nzokira said.

“We have worked well over the past two years and we are happy that the work we began to do is progressing well. ZANU PF as a Party is much older than our own so it is always great to get new experience and to work together to see what we can do for the youth of Africa.”
