ZANU PF Secretary for Health Cde David Parirenyatwa has dispelled the myth that being vaccinated against COVID-19 causes sexual dysfunction.
Speaking during a Policy and Coordinating meeting held at the Party Headquarters in Harare this week, Cde Parirenyatwa encouraged everyone to get the COVID-19 booster vaccine.
“COVID-19 is still with us and it is important for us to remain vigilant. We have gone past the third wave thanks to the vaccination programme, awareness campaigns and some degree of social distancing. Generally people are masking up well but we need to treat all flue as potential COVID-19 cases,” Cde Parirenyatwa said.
“Let us go for the booster vaccine and literature shows that even after six weeks you can get your booster vaccine. The vaccines we are administering have proven to be better ones and we must dispel the myth that these cause erectile or sexual dysfunction or sterility.”
Some circles of society have refused to get vaccinated fearing that they may fail to be sexually active despite no research proving this theory.
