As ZANU PF prepares for the March 26th by-elections and the 2023 harmonized elections, Party members have been urged to adopt strategies that unearth underlying issues affecting the people.
This was said by Central Committee member for Matabeleland South Cde Patrick Hove during his recent visit to Bulawayo Province.
The Party is fielding numerous candidates for the Municipality and House of Assembly positions across the country whose seats fell vacant following the death and expulsion of previous position holders.
Cde Hove noted that it is imperative to dispel the notion that the Party is owned by a few individuals who either accept or reject new people.
“We need to design programmes that unearth the underlying issues affecting the people in order to capture the internal person. We must avoid the blame-game to shield failure because this has created a loophole of not working within the Party,” Cde Hove said.
“Those in positions of authority must not be involved in village politics because this suffocates others in the Party.”
Cde Hove added that Party members must assist the newly elected Provincial executives as mobilization gets underway.
