President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa has challenged the Party structures to raise the consciousness of unity, peace and love.
He said this during the Politburo meeting held at the Party Headquarters ahead of the Unity day which is celebrated every 22nd of December.
The Unity day commemorates the Unity Accord signed by late President Cde Robert Mugabe on behalf of PF ZANU and the late Vice President Cde Joshua Nkomo on behalf of ZAPU.
“Tomorrow the nation will commemorate Unity day, as an important day on our national calender. Against this backdrop, it is incumbent upon the structures of the Party,
provinces and districts to take part in raising the consciousness of our communities on the importance of peace, unity, harmony, respect and love,” President Mnangagwa said.
“This is the legacy bequeathed unto us by our founding fathers together with many heroes and heroines who have gone before us. These values remain fundamental building blocks in our journey towards vision 2030 and building the Zimbabwe we want for present and future generations.”
