Speaking about the award, Cde Sibanda said she was humbled by the recognition which is a plus to the Party and country.
“I am very humbled by the recognition which came as a shock since this is a learning curve. I put so much effort to research and contribute towards the presentation because I wanted to represent my Party and country very well. I had no idea that I was being assessed. This is a plus for the Party and country,” Cde Sibanda said.
“It is important to note that in this quest, our Party, ZANU PF opened up the country’s borders towards potential investors through the ‘Zimbabwe is Open for Business’ mantra declared by His Excellency President Cde E. D Mnangagwa in his inaugural speech on Friday 24 November 2017. In addition Zimbabwe has established Special Economic Zones and is attracting investors in our key sectors which are Agriculture, Mining, Tourism, Small and Medium Enterprises through the vision 2030 under NDS1and NDS2. It is important that after we attend these seminars we implement what we would have learnt so that there is continuity.”
Also speaking about his award, Cde Mangwana said that he was “humbled by the recognition which is testament to the passion I have for youth empowerment.”
He added that efforts must be made to “continue looking for areas of improvement with a bigger and direct impact for the youth. We must tailor-make models ideal for the Zimbabwean situation learning from the Chinese models.”
He underscored the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa’s thrust of building Zimbabwe by saying “the First Secretary gave us an opportunity to participate on this forum which is testament to his belief and faith that he has in young people to take control of the economic revolution currently underway. We are happy that President Mnangagwa and President Xi Jinping continue to strengthen cooperation between the Party and country for the betterment of ordinary Zimbabweans. We remain responsible as Zimbabweans to build our own country, as the President says “nyika inovakwa nevene vayo.”
