TO THE GAY KHAKI ENVELOPES
2 min readZimbabwe as a nation is willing to fulfill all tokens of democracy that are sensibly demanded by anybody from anywhere. We are a people – loving sovereignty willing to embrace diversity in its widespread forms of heterogeneity, we are architects of humanitarian inclusivity, flexible to change and globalization, but let this sink in the minds of the our diplomatic allies and the world at large:
Zimbabwe is a deeply conservative nation whose constitution is embedded in the values and ethos of our African culture.Our social cohesion even during the greatest adversities has been hinged on our firm and resolute stance on cultural and religious obligations.
Same sex sexual relations are not part of our DNA, our diverse cultures in their entirety have not and will not in the foreseeable future, embrace homosexuality. As much as proponents of Gay rights and political mercanaries want Zimbabwe to embrace Homosexuality and incorporate it our constitution, their perpetual and hypocritical labeling of our nation as homophobic and archaic, pressuring us to recognize gay rights… We remain unmoved and unapologetic on the matter!
In the same sincerity of their petitions, we are also appealing thay they understand that Zimbabwe’s constitution currently is not Gay tolerant – as much as we tolerate that our neighbors may have incorporated these far off western cultures, we also implore that they tolerate that our majority scope does not condone gay mentalities.
Until we agree as a nation, within the confines of our laws and constitution to incorporate homosexuality, our stance will not be changed by negative publicity, name-shame journalism, blackmail and so on.Let this sink into the skulls of the fanatic, sponsor, promoter and defendant of homosexuality that Zimbabwe does not do th
