PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA VOWS TO EMPOWER ZIMBABWEANS LIVING WITH DISABILITY

His Excellency Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa today Wednesday, officiated the National Disability Expo.

The Expo which has drawn participants from all the ten Provinces is showcasing exhibits that emphasize the well-being of the disabled in the country, according to a communique from State House.

Running under the theme: ‘’Disability mainstreaming and inclusion for a prosperous and empowered society which leaves no one behind.”

President Mnangagwa in his remarks, vowed to uplift the well being of all Zimbabweans including those living with disability by spearheading programmes that directly benefit the citizenry.

Zimbabwe, according to statistics, has nearly 15 percent of population living with disability.

The Expo comes after the launch of the National Disability Policy in June which spells hope and bold intent by the Government to alleviate disability problems in the society.
