COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS HERE WITH US: CDE MPOFU

ZANU PF Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu says the covid-19 pandemic is here with us into the future hence the need to constantly observe the health guidelines.
This he said during his opening remarks to this week’s Policy and Coordination meeting held at the Party Headquarters this Monday.
His remarks follow the continued decrease in the number of cases being recorded as well as deaths.
“Comrades, the Covid-19 pandemic is gradually subsiding with less death rates being recorded and vaccinations peaking up. As a consequence, the Covid-19 containment measures were subsequently relaxed resulting in increased business activity, travelling and gatherings,” Cde Mpofu said.
“The increase in the number of people to gather to one hundred (100) provides a window for us to continue to implement our programmes as they are mass-based. This augers well for the preparations for the forthcoming 19th virtual annual conference and the restructuring exercise. We need though to continuously observe the World Health Organisation WHO guidelines and constantly remind our constituencies that the pandemic is here to live with us for the forceable future.”
