Non-examination classes opened successfully today following the Cabinet decision to open thanks to the reduced number of covid-19 cases and deaths.
Examination classes opened on the 30th of August after a long break due to covid-19.
At least 125 new cases and 16 deaths were recorded yesterday with a cumulative figure of 2 713 548 people having received the first dose while 1 717 430 fully vaccinated.
Schools have opened under the recommended health guidelines which require sanitising and social distance. In this regard some schools have made sure they post roasters for pupil attendance to ensure they minimise pupil traffic.
Schools are expected to close on the 17th of December.
